My Story: How It All Began

My love for weddings started long before I founded my studio.
For decades, I worked across events, hospitality, and creative industries — learning how people gather, how celebrations flow, and how to create experiences that feel effortless and unforgettable.
In 2010, I brought all of that experience together and launched Jody Q Weddings — a studio dedicated to crafting weddings with heart, intention, and editorial beauty.
Since then, I’ve had the honour of planning celebrations for couples across Perth, Australia, and around the world. Each wedding is a privilege. Each story is unique.

Our wedding mum what can we say, firstly we probably would not be married if it wasnt for Jody! We had some problems leading up to our wedding with the venue and we had absolutely no idea what was going on and then enters Jody Q weddings and boy, did she have it sorted for us. The amount of work she put in to straighten everything out, she went above and beyond just so we could have our special day. Jody was on top of things we never even thought about. Even just the little things like fixing my dress for photos on the day and checking in to see how the nerves are, to the big things like being there to organise the other vendors set up whilst we spent time with our family getting ready and to writing down a detailed timeline to follow on the day so it all went to plan. Even after the wedding she had a zoom meeting with us just to check in to see how we are going as newly weds and to congratulate and wish us well, she was unreal and exceeded any expectation we could have ever had. Jody was our guardian angel on the day and we will be forever grateful for the amount of effort she put in just for little old us. Thank you so much for everything you did to make our day what we wanted it to be, you were the stand out in our wedding and the best thing to happen to us in our planning.
